First set of quarterfinals:
Portugal (2) vs Germany (3)

Well, Portugal put up a strong defense when they played against Germany. Infact, both teams did real well and Scolari was right when he said that Portugal needs to be wary of Germany's aerial threats i.e. free kicks and the likes. Ballack, Schweinsteiger and Klose scored a goal each for their team while Gomes and Postiga scored for Portugal. Deco did score a goal but he was off-side so that was never counted.
I'm very sad that Portugal lost. The power coach Luiz Felipe Scolari will be named Chelsea's coach after the Euro 2008. Chelsea sure can look forward to some success like never before because Scolari is the man who steered Brazil's and Portugal's ship to success. Look at Portugal's players. Whether they play at international level or at premiere leagues, they can play football.

Great game Portugal. Germany advances into the semi-finals.
